Case studies
Out of respect for our clients’ trust, we maintain absolute discretion. Consequently, the following jewellery-making projects are presented anonymously, safeguarding the privacy that defines how we work.
A jewellery house wished to see its range evolve while retaining its codes of elegance and refinement. The aim was to design a more contemporary necklace, capable of bringing a new visual dynamic whilst preserving the signature style of the Maison.
The project centred on integrating cushion-cut diamonds into a bolder design intended to reinterpret classic codes through a play on visual contrasts and more contemporary volumes. The Maison granted us considerable creative freedom, while placing strong emphasis on the stylistic coherence of the proposal.
To create a design true to this aesthetic, we explored several key areas:
- combining noble and innovative materials
- ensuring the balance of volumes and proportions
- creating an interplay of contrasting surfaces
- introducing subtle, colourful details
- seeking a more graphic, contemporary pattern
This discussion phase gave rise to several design ideas, which in turn resulted in various sketches and stylistic directions and the use of mock-ups in order to explore various possible interpretations of the necklace.
We notably proposed a combination of precious metal and ceramic to introduce a more modern and graphic contrast.
The final version selected culminated in a resolutely flowing, more sculptural necklace, where the interplay between materials and dainty details perfectly showcases the stones.
This project demonstrates several key aspects of our approach:
- our ability to develop a design without distorting its essence
- a method based on dialogue, listening and creative iterations
- a proactive advisory stance surpassing the initial brief
- technical expertise enabling us to combine innovative materials with Haute Joaillerie
- a constant focus on striking a balance between creativity, elegance and feasibility
Above and beyond the jewellery itself, this model highlights our flair for transforming a creative vision into a finished piece of jewellery that is both coherent and distinctive.
The project involved developing a necklace combining gold, pearls and diamonds into a structured composition perfectly following the curve of the neck.
The main challenge lay in the ability to reconcile two technical requirements that are rarely compatible: providing a structure rigid enough to maintain the shape of the jewellery, whilst ensuring great flexibility when worn.
The design also had to preserve the creation’s visual lightness while highlighting the balance between the pearls and the stones.
Based on the above, we focused on integrating the pearls into a structure capable of ensuring both support and mobility.
- To achieve this, we developed a specific solution based on several key elements:
- drilling the pearls accurately on one side only
- producing perfectly aligned, bespoke sockets
- devising an assembly system tailored to each component
- conducting a comprehensive analysis of how volumes and movements were to be distributed
- developing an internal assembly system to ensure flexibility without distorting the structure
Before proceeding to final production, several prototypes were produced to test the meshing systems, the articulation points and how the necklace behaves when worn.
The final necklace features a perfectly structured silhouette, while retaining great flexibility of movement.
The assembly process enables each element to follow the contours of the neck naturally without compromising the model’s overall structure.
The end result demonstrates our talent for solving complex assembly and construction challenges while preserving the jewellery’s elegance.
It notably illustrates:
- our mastery of articulation systems in the realm of Haute Joaillerie
- our ability to develop bespoke solutions for every stone or material
- our commitment to achieving the right balance of volume, comfort and stability
- our technical expertise in drilling, fitting and assembling complex components
- our aptitude for transforming a mechanical constraint into an aesthetic asset
The project involved evolving an iconic motif to create a cohesive mini-collection comprising several types of jewellery.
The challenge was to preserve the unique nature of the original design while making it adaptable to different uses, formats and price points.
The task involved identifying the essential elements of the motif so that it could be adapted without losing its visual impact.
We developed our approach around several key areas:
- featuring warm colours and textured materials
- introducing precious metal in certain areas to enhance the overall perception of value
- exploring alternative materials suited to varied market positioning
- considering suitable diamond settings and their integration
- developing a modular design providing scope for multiple compositions
To increase flexibility, the design was conceived as an assembly of several parts that can be used together or separately, depending on aesthetic and budgetary constraints.
Several concepts were then developed for different jewellery categories, with proposals combining materials, uses and price points.
The project led to the creation of a coherent collection base, capable of being adapted across several pieces of jewellery whilst retaining a strong identity.
The modularity of the motif in terms of shapes as well as the choice of materials and positioning offers great creative flexibility.
This collaboration highlights our ability to transform a strong motif into a collection’s design language, whilst incorporating technical, aesthetic and budgetary constraints.
It notably demonstrates:
- our aptitude for orchestrating the evolution of a visual identity without distorting it
- our expertise in combining a variety of materials
- our approach to gemsetting and showcasing stones
- our flair for designing jewellery intended for multiple uses and across different price points
- our development methodology, from design through to production
